What we store, and why
Without an account: nothing, apart from Séléné’s counters described below. Readings and birth charts are computed on request and not kept.
Séléné, the AI astrologer: your questions, and your birth details if you give them, are sent to Anthropic, which provides the AI model, to write the answer. Lunarie writes neither questions nor answers to disk: the conversation stays in memory so Séléné can follow the thread, and is erased at most two hours after it starts (ten minutes’ leeway for the purge). Within a conversation, each new question sends Anthropic the previous exchanges again, birth details included. Only today’s question counters are kept, tied to a random cookie and a fingerprint of your IP address, and deleted the next day. Purpose: limiting free questions. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
Account: your email, language, birth data if you give it (date, time, place, its coordinates and time zone), chosen delivery time, spending cap, Stripe customer ID. Purpose: running the subscription and readings. Legal basis: contract.
Journal: your morning readings and draws made while signed in. Readers: your questions, their context, answers, ratings and reviews. A question may reveal intimate information: only the reader concerned and the publisher can see it.
Live readings: the text of chat readings, kept in your account so you can read it again, and the length of each reading. Calls are not recorded and your phone number is not kept: it only goes through our telephone provider. The publisher only reads a conversation if you make a complaint.
Payments: amount, currency, Stripe references, payer email. Kept ten years for accounting obligations.
Reader applications: the form data, kept one year at most.
Analytics: a self-hosted, cookieless tool counting page views, which may identify the organisation behind a business IP address. It honours Do Not Track.
Processors
OVH (hosting, France), Stripe (payments, Ireland and US, standard contractual clauses), Twilio (telephony for live readings, US, standard contractual clauses), Anthropic (AI model behind Séléné, US, standard contractual clauses), the email provider appointed by Lunarie. No data is sold or used for advertising.
Your rights
Access, correction, erasure, portability, objection: from your account (one-click deletion) or at contact@lunarie.fr. You may complain to the CNIL.
Cookies
Two cookies, both needed for the service: one keeps you signed in; the other, “lun_vis”, a random number unrelated to your identity, counts the questions asked to Séléné (one year). No advertising or analytics cookies.
