Sun in Capricorn

With the Sun in Capricorn, you shine through perseverance and a sense of responsibility. Your identity builds over time, step by step, and often comes into its own more at forty than at twenty.

People hand you the keys, the budget or the difficult file, because they know it will get done. The Sun in Capricorn gives a sober, enduring vitality that prefers results to speeches. You know how to wait, to work with no one watching, to build something whose rewards you won’t see for years. Your humour is dry, often unexpected, and those who know you well know it hides a lot of tenderness. Many people with this placement feel younger as they age, as if the weight of the early years lifted once they had proved themselves. The difficulty comes when discipline turns against joy. You may put pleasure off until later, always later, wait to have earned a rest that never comes, or measure your worth only by what you achieve. Others can find you cold when you are simply busy holding things together. The day you enjoy what you have already built, without waiting for the next summit, you discover another kind of success.
