Sun

In a birth chart, the Sun represents your core identity: what drives you, how you seek to shine and grow into yourself. Its sign describes your style, and its house the area of life where you want to make your mark.

In astronomy, the Sun is a star; astrology groups it with the Moon as one of the two "luminaries," the main lights of the sky. In a birth chart it holds the center: it’s the sign you give when someone asks "What’s your sign?" It describes what energizes you, what you’re trying to become, the quality of presence you have when you’re fully yourself. The Sun also speaks of the father figure or the authority that served as your model, and of your relationship with recognition.
